Osteopathic Medicine

Osteopathic Manipulation Therapy:

D.O.s are trained in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM), which involves hands-on techniques to alleviate pain and improve health. By applying OMM, a D.O. can help relieve bodily restrictions, restore proper blood flow, and support nerve function, all of which promote overall health.

Cranial Osteopathy:

Many people are familiar with Craniosacral Therapy, often provided by massage therapists or alternative-minded physical therapists. This approach is rooted in the rich tradition of Osteopathy in the Cranial Field, also known as Cranial Osteopathy. It was pioneered by Dr. William Garner Sutherland, D.O., in the early 1900s. His work expanded practitioners’ ability to address a wide range of conditions that were previously challenging to treat—and continue to be for those unfamiliar with this approach.

Cranial Osteopathy has been applied successfully to support issues such as ear infections, acne, vertigo, sinus infections, snoring, sleep apnea, headaches, developmental delays in newborns and children, and even depression.

Free Radicals Definition

Free radicals are unstable molecules that damage any tissue in the body they come in contact with.

This causes a cascade of tissue damage and inflammation. Inflammation itself generates even more free radicals.

Anti-oxidants such as glutathione, vitamin C, D, E and K, as well as many others, stabilize the free radicals and therefore stop the tissue damage, the cascade of damage and the resulting inflammation.

Congratulations! We are so happy to hear that!
